Dance Italia's Young Artist Program is a unique summer intensive for students ages 15 - 17, that takes place in beautiful Lucca, Italy. We are honored to be hosting an audition for their intensive here at SCB!
Audition at SCB: Saturday, January 6, 12:30 - 1:30 pm in Studio 2

Dance Italia's YAP is special for a number of reasons, not just that we consider them friends! The class size is very small - up to 16 dancers - so there is a lot of individualized instruction for a summer intensive setting. The focus is on Contemporary dance forms, so students will get a range of techniques and movement exercises including improvisation, choreography, and site-specific creation. There is a performance at the end, and students actually get to appreciate where they are because there are lots of built-in activities in the area, including an excursion to see the leaning tower of Pisa!

This audition will also be on Zoom for anyone who cannot make it in person! You must register in advance to participate via Zoom so that we can send you the link. Link is sent out the day before.
