It's already time to start planning for this beautiful holiday tradition, so make sure you are at the auditions to be part of this year's Nutcracker Ballet at Alberta Bair Theater!
If you are interested in auditioning for our Nutcracker Tea Party Performances, you audition at the same time as for the San Diego Ballet Nutcracker! There is also no additional fee if you are auditioning for both. The tea parties will be on Saturday, December 14th, and most rehearsals on Saturdays and/or the same evening as your other Nutcracker rehearsal.

THERE WILL BE A $15 AUDITION/COMMITMENT FEE DUE AT THE DANCER’S AUDITION CHECK-IN. (Checks made out to SCB, or Cash or if an existing SCB Student it can be added to your SCB Jackrabbit acct. -this account uses a credit card and there is a 3-5% processing fee added.)
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes early, as various forms need to be filled out, audition numbers distributed,and dancers must be organized into groups. Arriving late will put your child at a disadvantage, so please plan accordingly.
Kids chosen for the parts of Soldiers, Party, Clara, Garlands will for sure have a Sat. afternoon rehearsal with San Diego Auditioners on 9/14! Plan accordingly please.
On-going rehearsals are mostly on Saturdays with SCB @ the Montana Dance Center beginning 9/21. There are approximately 8-9 rehearsals for everyone, so being at rehearsals is VERY important. Some parts require less time, and the schedule will be posted.
Come prepared to take any part you are given. The company chooses your part(s) & expects if you’re auditioning that you will be dancing the part(s) given to you.
Nutcracker Performances are on November 30 & Dec 1 at the Alberta Bair Theater (ABT)
Mandatory Rehearsals & Costume Fittings are at ABT on Wednesday 27th & Friday 29th. Times TBA. NOTE: THIS IS THANKSGIVING WEEK.
