Exciting news dancers - we have excellent pointe shoe fitters coming to Billings!
We are very happy to announce that professional pointe shoe fitters from Denver will be coming up to School of Classical Ballet in August during the summer intensive to make sure you have the opportunity to get fit for the first time or to get re-fit and find a great new shoe.
ALL STUDENTS FROM ANY STUDIO ARE WELCOME!
They will be at SCB Aug 13 - 15.
How to take advantage:
1. You MUST sign up for a time slot in advance so that we know we have enough students getting fit to make their trip worthwhile, so please sign up for a slot as soon as you can to both reserve time for yourself as well as to get them here!
SIGN UP FOR A TIME SLOT HERE: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1btwNuX7kwQRiVB_xBVrb0VZod3bqAQLw__-sWCLzUF8/edit?usp=sharing There are three different tabs for the three different days. Type your name into column B or C on your desired day and time. Remember, if you are coming to the intensive you will want to plan around that schedule.
2. Please ALSO fill out a form that lets them know what your feet are like, and about what you've worn and how it worked for you. Filling out this form will very much help them know what shoes to bring and to make sure they have the right fits and sizes so you can walk away with shoes rather than waiting for any to be sent by mail.
FILL OUT YOUR FOOT FORM HERE: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScSbuwoFQp6EDxGtSD5PRtsB4aupDlsABbJqsmjJKAc5wMQVw/viewform?usp=sf_link The form asks for some photos so be ready to take some clear photos of your current pointes and your feet.
3. Lastly, please note that there is a required $20 fee for the fitting. If you buy shoes, your elastics and ribbons are included, which add up to about $10 per pair of shoes, so you are already getting more for your dollar. If you buy more than one pair of shoes, the fee can be waived.
Please sign up for a time slot asap. We will determine if they come once enough people are signed up or by August 6, whichever happens first.
If you are in ballet 3 next year please check with Julia if you should be getting pre-pointe shoes or pointe shoes. In general, if you are new to level 3, you will get pre-pointes, and if you have already been in level 3 you will get pointes. However, if you are only taking one ballet class a week next year, you will not be permitted to wear any pointe shoes in class, and if you were in ballet 3 last year but only taking ballet once a week you may be told to get pre-pointes. Thank you for your flexibility! Either way, you will still be able to fill out the forms before confirming with Julia.
