Three of our students, who are also SCB Company members, did something awesome this weekend - they went to the Spring workshop put on by the Montana Dance Arts Association, held in Helena. They took three or four classes each day, learning new things from the fantastic guest teachers brought in from around the country. It takes a lot of dedication, focus, and gumption to take that leap of a new experience.
One particularly awesome thing they did there (a truly incredible thing MDAA offers) was to put themselves out there and audition for scholarships towards ballet summer intensives. Now, these girls were already accepted into the summer programs, they'd already accomplished that wonderful feat. This was a separate audition weighing merit, skill and potential, to earn scholarships towards their ballet training. All three dancers received scholarships!
We could not be more proud of our dancers, not just for earning these awards, but for being brave, curious, eager, and reaching for what they want. They are going forward in leaps and bounds!
We have immense gratitude for MDAA for offering these invaluable programs, helping dance students get closer to achieving their dreams. And thank you to our dance faculty for guiding them towards excellence.

We love our students and instructors! Pictured from left to right: Ricki Feeley (modern instructor), Lily, Bella, Madi, Leigh Schanfein (ballet, pointe, variations, conditioning instructor).
