Paige Hunter
Paige holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, and a BA in French from Western Washington University. She spent some time in Senegal, drawn to traditional African dancing, then moved to New York City to immerse herself in art, and refine her sense of modern dance technique, performance, and pedagogy. For several years she focused on the Cunningham Technique, a style she loved for its clarity of form and rhythm. After she got married, she and her husband moved to Santa Fe, NM, where she continued to dance. She's grateful to be back in Billings, living near family, and teaching dance to all ages at SCB. When not teaching, she's raising three kids.

ABOUT
Our students are educated with a blend of historic Modern Dance styles including Graham, Horton, Limon, and Cunningham, as well as a contemporary approach to the art form. Students will learn how to express movement more fully in space with Modern’s wide range of movement possibility. We strive to refine students’ technique and alignment, cultivate students’ creativity, refine their sense of rhythm and challenge their minds, their strength, and conditioning. Modern Dance will improve and inform our ballet students, as both styles are interrelated.
